As always, Mac Wiseman is in fine voice here, singing old time heart songs and ballads as no other Bluegrass artist can. As usual also, he has picked out wonderful old songs, 10 of them here. His great singing is enough to recommend this album, but for those used to hearing him with a top flight Bluegrass backing, this album may be disappointing, as the backing is pretty tame, containing drums and some steel guitar; while not a disaster, if you compare Mac's new version of REMEMBERING with his old Dot recording, it is like night and day, even though Mac's vocal is not that different.
